What if it is raining?
Our festival is an outdoor event along a beautiful esplanade and outdoor food court for your enjoyment so bring an umbrella if the weather worries you because beer festivals are happy times rain or shine.
Where can I find parking?
We have 1 paid lot along Dock Street in addition to a FREE PARKING and FREE SHUTTLE BUS service that makes all day round trips from the Sound Transit parking garage beside the Tacoma Dome.
Where to stay?
There are several great hotels in the downtown area within walking distance to our festival, in addition to many great hotels in the outer areas of Tacoma. Our friends at the Tacoma Convention and Travel Bureau have a great site that offers lodging information.
How much does it cost to get in?
All tickets include: General Admission, 10 tasting tokens, and a souvenir taster glass

How do the online tickets work?
You can have your ticket mailed to you or have your ticket available at our will-call table. table. To speed things up, there will be a clearly marked SEPARATE line and will-call table at the festival door for pre-purchased ticket holders only.
You can have a physical ticket sent to you, but remember that the ticket delivery is subject to the postal service.
If you order a ticket after August 27th it would be recommended by our ticket vendor Brown Paper Tickets to have your ticket available at our will-call station at the festival instead of mail delivery.
What is the appropriate ID to get into the festival?
The WA Liquor Control Board will accept 1) a driver’s license with a photo from any state; 2) a current passport; 3) a DMV identification card; and 4) a military ID card. The state identification card and/or the military card must bear a picture of the person, the person’s name, address, date of birth, a physical description and the signature of the person. Expired identification is not valid, and will not be accepted.
Do you accept credit cards or personal checks?
We have an ATM located outside the festival entrance. We only accept cash for payment of admission and additional tokens.
Can I bring my children?
Unfortunately no one under 21 can attend the festival because of limited space and liquor control board regulations.
Can I bring my pet?
As much as we love our pets the festival has a no pet policy.
Why do I have to use the souvenir glass and tokens to sample beer?
In order to sample beer at the festival you must have the official event souvenir taster glass. Servers will not pour beer into anything else. Admission includes a souvenir glass that holds 5oz. Servers do not accept cash. Tokens for beer are given to you with your admission when you enter the festival and you can buy additional tokens at our Token Booth. Tokens cost $1.50 a piece and one token (unless otherwise noted) will get you one 5-ounce pour of beer. Tokens are non-refundable.
When do admissions and extra token sales end?
We want you to be happy, arrive early and allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy the festival.
Admission and token sales end at 8:00pm, taps shut down at 8:30pm; festival closes at 9:00pm
When do taps shut down?
Taps shut down 30 minutes before the closing of the festival. We will announce last call 15 minutes before the taps shut down.
Is there food available at the festival?
Yes, we have a fantastic food court located in the center of the festival which will feature a variety of food and tables to sit and dine.
Is there live music?
Yes, we will have a variety of enjoyable music
Is smoking allowed?
There will be a designated smoking area. Please note you cannot bring beer with you to this area and staff will check your ticket stub and wrist band upon entry and exit.
What if I am a designated driver?
Designated drivers can purchase a non-tasting ticket at the festival only for $10.00
Where does all the money raised go?
All proceeds from the 2011 Tacoma Craft Beer Festival goes toward the efforts of the Boys & Girls Clubs of South Puget Sound which has been serving youth in our community for 70 years.
